Handling Requests from Competent Authorities
Ebitok provides necessary information solely to competent authorities upon receiving an official request that is legally valid and binding. A competent authority refers to any individual or organization to which the state, municipality, or a similar legal entity has delegated powers, duties, and functions for requesting information or conducting investigations.
The request must be made on legal grounds and in accordance with the Terms of Use.
Information requests must be made in English only and include a valid email address for us to send a response. A valid email address is the official email address associated with the respective competent authority.
Ebitok reserves the right to disregard any request that does not comply with the law.
Ebitok prefers to receive all types of requests via email at [email protected].
The request processing time takes a minimum of thirty (30) business days.
A competent authority request must include the following information:
- Full details of the competent authority issuing the information request
- Name and identification details of the person responsible for the investigation
- Official email address, mailing address of the competent authority, and a contact phone number
- A clear description of the types of information requested by the competent authority
To enable us to effectively process the request, we additionally request that the competent authority provide transaction details related to the request: wallet address, transaction hash, transaction amount, or any other relevant information held by the competent authority.
